“I wish I could give 10 Stars! A wonderful experience for us and our pup Osi. Max is such a wonderful person and dog sitter, we could not be happier. Lots of photos, videos and messages and Osi came home happy. Thank you so much Max you’re the best and we will definitely be in contact the next time we have a holiday.”
2. Anna S.
“Anna took care of my Australian Shepherd, Maggie, for about a week. She is 2 years old and high energy and fit perfectly in Anna’s home. Anna has other dogs over and a back yard, so plenty of space to play. I look forward to boarding with her again!”
3. Joanna F.
“If you are a traveler and need someone in San Antonio to take care of your pet, Joanna is your person! Luckily, we came across Joanna, and I can’t express enough how grateful we are for their service. Despite the last-minute request, she was incredibly accommodating and welcomed our dogs with open arms. From the moment we dropped them off, we knew we were leaving him in good hands. She provided updates throughout the stay, including pictures and videos, which really put our minds at ease. It was clear that our dog was not only well-cared for but also genuinely enjoyed his time there. The house was clean, secure, and had plenty of space for play and relaxation. I wholeheartedly recommend Joanna to anyone in need of a dog boarding service. We are incredibly thankful for their flexibility and the outstanding care they provided. Our dog has found a second home, and we will definitely be returning customers if we go back in San Antonio!”

“Kathy took such good care of my pup Odin! She sent me daily pictures and videos of him. He was happy and playful and thoroughly enjoyed his visit. He had a yard to run and play in and a couch to snuggle and rest. I 100% recommend her to care for your fur babies.”
6. Alfonso Z.

“Erica was amazing, she treated our Coco like one of her own dogs. Coco stayed with Erica and family for 2 weeks and came back home happy and healthy. 10. Fiorella B.
“Such a great cat sitter! My cat had a bunch of fun staying for the 10 days. Photos/videos everyday and letting me know how my cat was doing was so comforting! Also so great for being open to last minute booking!”
11. Sweet D.
“I absolutely loved echo staying here. He’s a bigger dog and Sweet was so kind. I ended up being a little late from the airport and she communicated with me the whole time. I will bring echo to stay here again. He had a great time! Thank you so so much!”
12. Sarah C.
“Sarah was great! She was attentive and communicated with us throughout the time she spent with our Princess. She kept us updated and sent us photos, which made us feel comfortable that Princess was safe. The drop off and pick up was great with no issues. I will definitely book Sarah again to take care of our puppy. Thank you so much! 😊”
13. Jesus Miguel G.
“I am definitely pretty close to a “helicopter” paw parent and I couldn’t recommend Miguel more. I’ve been using his services for over 3 years now before he joined Rover. He hand feeds my pet, makes sure he has enough potty breaks, and follows instructions clearly. He also seems to have a genuine love for animals of all types; my pet easily warmed up to him. I would recommend him to all of my friends and family.”
14. Bria G.
“Bria was great! She was very understand with the short notice and provided updates. I could tell she genuinely cared for Zeus. I would definitely recommend her and hope to use her in the future.”
15. Dave N.
“My Doberman really enjoys staying with Dave. Every time I have needed a sitter I know that I can count on Dave (if he is available). Whether it is last minute or with ample time, Dave always goes above and beyond to take care of my dog and is also very flexible on pick up and drop off times. I can tell my dog enjoys staying with him as he is always happy to see him when he has stayed with Dave in the past. He is very knowledgeable and skilled and more importantly he makes me feel comfortable leaving my dog with him.”
16. Morgan A.
“Morgan was super! She took care of Zeus and his needs with great care and attention to detail. She was communicative and kept me updated with pictures and videos throughout Zeus's stay with her. I felt at ease knowing that Zeus was in good hands with Morgan. I will book with her again for the future.”
17. Magdalena M.
“Magdalena is amazing with dogs! She is very professional and provides our dog exceptional care! Our dog Autumn was comfortable the moment they met and loves her. Magdalena made sure she was able to work with all of Autumn's needs. Magdalena is extremely reliable and trustworthy. She truly cares about animals and is genuinely concerned about their well being. I highly recommend her as a pet sitter!”
18. Cathy H.
“Cathy was amazing. Quick responses, updates throughout our pups stay and was super accommodating with our late pickup. Our pup was a happy boy on drop off and pickup. Would definitely use her service again.”
19. Ashley L.
“This was my first stay with Ashley and she went above and beyond for our pups!! She noticed early on that one of my dogs had blood in her pee, took her to the ER over a holiday weekend (after checking in with us), and waited hours in the parking lot late into the night so my dog didn’t have to stay the night there by herself. I’m blown away by her care and kindness in what was a very stressful emergency being away from home. She also kept my dog up to date on her antibiotics until we came home. In addition to this, she sends multiple thoughtful updates and images throughout the stay. It’s hard to trust someone with your dog for the first time and she did so much more than I could’ve asked. Thank you so much Ashley!! I can’t say it enough.”
20. Mikayla M.
“She did an amazing job with my deaf puppy. She is in heaven with 2 other dogs along. Now I am not worried or anxious when I have my sweet deaf girl have a good time. while I was out of town. It is so amazing.”

Why do dog owners love living in San Antonio?
Also known as River City, San Antonio's rich history attracts all kinds of people. Home to the Alamo museum and the San Antonio Riverwalk, it's the seventh most populous city in the U.S. and full of pet parents and dog owners. With all those pet owners, there's a need for trusted dog sitters in San Antonio, and that's where 5-star services like Rover come in.
Why do San Antonio dog owners choose Rover dog boarding?
While there are several options for dog boarding in San Antonio, few can give dogs and puppies all the comforts of home like Rover sitters can. When you book a Rover dog sitter, your dog stays in your sitter's home and is treated like part of the family. Many sitters will even snuggle your pup on the couch, just like you would, or take your dog to a local dog park for the day.
Which San Antonio parks do dog owners like to visit?
San Antonio residents have 10 plus dog parks in the area to enjoy with their canine companions. One favorite has got to be Phil Hardberger Park off Blanco Road with its fun obstacle courses for pups to master and plentiful parking for pet owners. There are separate large and small dog areas and the park is open from sunrise to sunset. The next must-visit dog part for San Antonio dog owners is Pearsall Park. It features 1.5 acres of combined area for large and small dogs to romp and play. It has a bit less shade than other parks, so be sure to get there early before the heat of the day. Pearsall Park is rumored to be full of regulars, so your dog can really make some sweet connections with other local pups. Another local spot is McAllister Park, open from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. Amenities there include an agility park, tunnels, a doggie fountain, and lots of dog-friendly trails perfect for running or walking.
Which neighborhoods in San Antonio are great for dog owners?
You can't say San Antonio without conjuring up images of the Alamo. The downtown core is home to lots of tourist attractions beyond the Alamo, like the Tower of the Americas and the Alamodome. Midtown includes the historic Olmos Park Terrace, perfect for strolling with your dog and taking in the atmosphere. Just south of the Blue Star District lies in Southtown, where you'll find the Alamo Heights neighborhood - also known as 78209 or simply the '09. In Uptown Central, you'll find nearly five million square feet of retail space to buy yourself and your pup some presents, including the well-known North Star Mall. You could also go shopping at the Rolling Oaks Mall in the Northeast Side, which is also home to Randolph Air Force Base. From there, the Northwest Side has the University of Texas San Antonio and lots of students living nearby creating a fun, young atmosphere. We can't forget the South Side, a diverse neighborhood with both Palo Alto College and Texas A&M University-San Antonio in its limits.
